My cell phone is for MY convenience, not yours.

I'm sorry if this fact bothers you, but just because it's a good time for you to call or text me, does not mean that it's a good time for me. I feel absolutely ZERO obligation to answer my phone just because it's ringing.

This does not mean that I don't like you, that I'm ignoring you, or any of the other 30 worst conclusions you may jump to. It simply means my attention is focused elsewhere & you will need to wait.

If I'm out shopping with my grandma, unless you're my mom, I probably won't answer.

If I'm studying, even if you are my mom, I may not answer.

If I am sitting alone in my apartment enjoying a book, unless I'm quite confident you are more entertaining than the daily delve, it's not likely I'll answer.

I know this attitude puts many of you out. But understand that I did not get a cell phone so that you could have 24/7 access to me. Somedays, I simply turn it off altogether (a very liberating feeling!)

It may take me longer than you'd like, but I WILL get back to you.

haha. I love this. I totally monitor my calls and sometimes I really don't answer because I don't want to talk to the person thats calling. I used to answer every call but now that my kids are older its way harder to talk on the phone. If someone's calling that I know is a "talker" then I won't answer because it ends up a war zone between my kids, me and the person I'm talking too. Some people just wear me out when I'm talking to them so if I'm simply not in the mood to talk to them I don't answer. I personally think is nice of me because if I DO answer I may end up being short or rude and I don't want to do that. SOOO.... thanks for being honest because I'm sure at least 90% of people do this whether they want to admit it or not. lol.
